They were my favorite band between for about a year back from 04-05 (basically before they were replaced by GD). I'm still a huge fan, but its died down a bit the past couple months... I don't know why but for some reason I just don't care anymore. Its strictly about the music for me now, nothing more and nothing less. I'm the kind of fan that loves to know every single little detail I can, so for me its a weird feeling. Meh. When I saw them live this past March it was nothing short of amazing. They really know how to put on a good show. Favorite album is Three Cheers For Five Years but for some reason I think I'm now considering "Early Sunsets Over Monroeville" to be my favorite song of theirs.

Brie, sorry, you may be our mod, but MCR sounds like they are whining. I always say that there are a few types of music in the spectrum. There is Punk, Punk Rock, Rock, Goth Rock, Emo Rock, Emo, Emo Prep, Prep. This is where I categorize MCR...

Emo Rock.... Not as bad as Emo Prep, but Emo none the less

But when you think of it that way, how many other bands have probably said exactly the same as every other band?
Every band is going to have something to say, and it's going to sound like some other person that's said it. Musicians usually just say the same thing as another band, they just rephrase it. =/

I am not a HUGE fan but I witnessed MCR changing lives. This friend of mine was in a suicidal state after she lost her mother and her brother in a car accident. Gerard's inspiring voice(!) and lyrics really helped her get over all of that and move on.
