Re: Panic at the disco Australian tour dates..FOR REAL THIS TIME

er, i think i have something i wrote for school?
(i was doing a project on concert photography at the time, so it'll have a lot of irrelevant stuff)

"25th August:
After a whole boring day at school I finally arrived at the Thebarton Theatre on my way to see four of my favourite bands –
Panic at the Disco
The Academy Is...
Cobra Starship and
Amber Calling.

Considering three of those bands are pretty high up on my heroes’ lists, I was a happy camper.

After waiting in a line that eventually curved around a block or more either side of the theatre, the doors finally opened, and the rush to the merch desk begun. I picked myself up a colourful Cobra Starship shirt.

After reaching the floor of the theatre, I decided to pull out my new camera, which happens to be a DSLR (that's fancy stuff). So I put my telephoto lens on (which isn’t exactly small) the camera in front of a security guard. He looks at me strangely, called over another guard and asks him if my camera was okay to use – he didn’t think so. So I was then dragged over to another security guard – they didn’t think so either. I wasn’t allowed to use my $1000 dollar camera my parents got me for that concert. So I had to put that in the cloak room and use my friends camera instead, because hers was okay.

Anyhow, not long after that Amber calling came on. I’ve been seeing them live since last year when they were under their old name ‘919’, to see them play with three of your other favourite bands, it certainly does make you proud.

Then after they played a great set, Cobra Starship came on. These guys, to me, are great. Their music is blunt and catchy, and I just love them. It was my first time seeing them and I’ll definitely go to see them again, and again.

Then after their fabulous set, The Academy Is... came on. They were even more amazing than I’d thought they’d be – and then to top it off they played my favourite song to date. So they finished up, and by then I was thirsty, so I went to get a drink.

I came back in the hall, to spot a really tall man who goes by the name of Ryland Blackinton - otherwise known as the guitarist from Cobra Starship. I was meeting one of my heroes. I dumbly asked him to sign my shoe. So I then let him walk off and went and saw the guys in Amber Calling. After seeing a band 10+ times you begin to become friends with them. Anyhow, so I spoke to them for a bit, and then secured my spot for Panic at the Disco. Who were surprisingly better live than I thought they’d be. Their show was amazing, though not as amazing Cobra Starship’s or The Academy Is...’s. But that’s just me playing favourites. So yeah, definitely a highlight of my life so far, regardless that I didn’t get as high quality photos as I’d liked, nor a lot of them. But I met one of my heroes, hung out with five others and spent it with my best friend Emily – A great night indeed."

so not as much rambling as i thought.

If you hate them dont go to a KoRn concert.
I have pics before and after the show and my clothes afterwards were muddy.
I looked like I went to Woodstock.

there's something more sentimental to me about being in the mosh pit. i'm a fan of the concert bumps and bruises stories.

I agree, it is because of topics like this that we initiated the 1year archive rule. While I appreciate members trying to continue conversations, you can only push that so far.

Locked.
