Rock Festival In January

Good day everyone, welcome to another great day here on the Street!

We got more new music to tell you all about, because you can never have too much awesome music right? Some hard rock bands are not only releasing music sometime this year, but also planning a tour that's right around the corner.

With the likes of Buckcherry, Avenged Sevenfold, Papa Roach and Saving Abel sure to keep you all entertained. On January 28, 2009 expect to see all these acts at the E Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Opening the show are dynamic duo Papa Roach and Saving Abel. The main attractions are rockers Buckcherry and Avenge Sevenfold!!

Papa Roach sure sound like they have been busy in the past year, and are anxious to deliver their material to the masses. They are releasing their next album entitled, Metamorphosis sometime in March. An interesting tidbit about what influenced what is expected to be a smash album for them, lead singer Jacoby Shaddix stated, "This is our album of the decade. Green Day can make their album of the decade [American Idiot], so why can't we?"

The band also decided to spice things up a bit by gaining inspiration at the Paramour Mansion in Los Angeles, California. Papa Roach spent an entire month crashing at the haunted facility to record their follow up to 2006's The Paramour Sessions. Shaddix did have some scary moments while spending time at the house, "I only had contact with a ghost dog, which freaked me the the fuck out. My hair stood up, although I shaved my arms because I have tattoos all over them."

The article from The Salt Lake Tribune can be read here. Be sure to get your tickets fast for this great event. Tickets will be $41.75 and show starts at 6:30pm. Don't miss out!
