Good evening to the whole wide world, and for some of you, good morning! For all the legal of age Americans, Joss Stone wants you to listen up! So if you're reading this, yeah buddy, that means you!
Now that she's of legal age, the soul singer wants to alert this wonderful country to get off their high horses and make their voices be heard. Even though she hails from the United Kingdom, Joss is speaking her mind indeed. She is performing November 3rd at Headcount's "Get Out The Vote" in New York City.
That super cool concert will stream on iClips.net, and she will be joined by other musicians such as; Robert Randolph, ?uestlove, and many many others. The show will air at 8pm Eastern time, don't miss it. You can read about this here.
Stone has recorded a new song called, "Governmentalist," she's also posted it on Headcount.org very own website. This song is inspired by events happening in her country of England, it's about the harsh criticism JS received after speaking up about scarce medical treatment available to Iraq veterans.
Joss Stone hasn't made public what candidate she's rooting for, but when speaking about this matter, she is quoted, " There are millions upon millions of people who will be affected by this election and cannot vote because of age or nationality. So please, if you have a say, grateful that you do and use it." Wise words Ms. Stone! As if you didn't already know, Election Day is November 4th, 2008.
